"High definition television Skype will be available in the market in mid-year," said Skype.Skype in the official announcement which coincided with the opening of the annual Consumer Electronics Show said that Motorola and Panasonic will offer high-definition web camera with a special microphone.
Skype, based in Luxembourg managed to beat the conventional telephone network in providing voice and video calls over the Internet.
In addition to voice services and video call over the Internet for free, Skype also allows users to connect by using the land line network or mobile device with a low rate.
Skype is an online auction on eBay in November to a private investment group, said they would put the software into the 2010 Panasonic Viera Cast and LG 26 Plasma LCD using Access Entertainment NetCast assistance.
"The popularity of Skype video-call has increased significantly in recent years with an average growth of 34%," says Skype Chief Executive Josh Silverman.
"A lot of people doing activities video-call service using Skype expects to communicate with friends and keluargnya from a place of comfort and tend to a large television screen," said Silverman.
"Logical, it is then to encourage the development of integrated Skype with high definition television (HDTV)."
